Quick 20 Min At Home Workout

Happy Sunday! I just woke up about an hour ago, I have a busy day and I know I probably won’t get around to getting into the gym so I created a quick 20 minute workout that requires no equipment at all. So gear up in something cool, turn on some music,  and give it a try. You may want to record yourself to critique your form later. If you have any questions about how to perform the movement message me on Instagram! If you just had breakfast give yourself 45 minutes to digest it, if you haven’t eaten yet you should be fine I hadn’t either I just had a little water and considered it a fasted workout.   JAZZY’S ANYWHERE 20 MINUTE WORKOUT 4 ROUNDS OF EACH EXERCISE 20 Burpees 10 Forward & Backward Lunges on left side & right side, meaning do a frontward lunge and then go into a backward lunge on the same leg and that equals 1 rep, stay on the same leg for 10 reps then switch legs and …

Consistency …How & Why?

Today’s topic is consistency, the most common question I have been getting lately is “How do you stay consistent?” I’ve broken this down into two sections, my HOW & my WHY. HOW do I manage to stay consistent? Fitness is a lifestyle for me, literally! It is not something I choose to entertain when I feel like it, it is my life. I have a passion for fitness; I enjoy it, I crave it, I need it like I need to brush my teeth lol. BUT, It wasn’t until I became consistent with it, that I found a passion for it. What we have to remember when it comes to achieving a new goal is that it is going to be challenging, and often times we don’t properly prepare ourselves for this reality. In order to be consistent with any goal you want to achieve you have to mentally prepare yourself for it. Many of us fail before we begin because we don’t mentally prepare ourselves for the worst. We go into it with the wrong mindset, we …

Unnecessary Snacking

Unnecessary Snacking … AVOID IT! What I love about being on a meal plan is the freedom it gives me. I don’t have to waste time thinking about: What I’m going to eat today Cooking multiple times a day Over eating Having to eat out  Not feeling satisfied  Not knowing if I’m getting enough nutrients The list goes on. Meal prepping & planning frees up so much space in my mind & in my day for me to focus on other goals.  Within my current meal plan I have two times of the day that I eat a snack, & granted if I exert more energy than normal I have more snacks, I don’t deprive myself. But I only have a few options that I choose from, I don’t go to the kitchen and grab chips or cookies … but I have before. I know that feeling, I wasn’t always this knowledgeable about food and nutrition so I’ve been there. Ok ok ok sometimes I still do it lol! When it comes to unnecessary “snacking”  more …

Inch by Inch

How are you today? I hope you’re well. This blog post is going to address a much needed topic of discussion, “STARTING.”  So many people come to me seeking motivation to start; to start losing weight, to start working out, to start eating healthy, & so on. I’ve found that even after I give them insight or options they don’t start. Days, weeks, & months go by & they are still in same place … wanting, wishing, & hoping. That doesn’t sit well with me, it truly fulfills me to be of service. I like to help! So I’ve thought about this over time and in greater detail.  I’ve found that one of the main reasons most people fail to START any change they want to make for themselves is because it seems out of reach. The concept of uprooting a comfortable routine that feels like home to them becomes overwhelming. Though the idea of being fit or healthy is truly what they want, the challenging route to getting there is more discouraging than it …
